Альбом «FROM DEEWEE» бельгийской группы Soulwax, основанная двумя братьями Стефеном и Дэвидом Девале, деятельных меломанов из Бельгии, которые периодически выступают в диджейском формате 2manydjs, отличаются неуемной фантазией и способностью разбирать и собирать чужие треки заново, вытряхивая из них все лишнее и делая суше и злее. С мелодической точки зрения Soulwax действуют в ключе умных синти-поп-проектов нулевых вроде Neon Neon, а также выходцев с лейбла DFA, где делали ставку на гипнотический бит и блеяние пати-монстров. Интересно, что пластинка записана с одного дубля - местами похоже на сильно облегченный Depeche Mode («My Tired Eyes»), местами на электро от Black Strobe. Но в целом это диск для ностальгирующих поклонников электро-рока середины нулевых - и в хорошем и в плохом смысле.
